
Anthony David Gonzalez was conceived in Torrance on February 27 the year 1976. He grew up in southern California and attended Huntington Beach High School, which was where he excelled as a player on the basketball and football teams. Gonzalez excelled in these sports during his time at the University of California. He led the football team to the 1996 Aloha Bowl. Here, Gonzalez set the record for school bowls with nine receptions. Gonzalez led the basketball team to the Sweet 16 of NCAA basketball tournament just a few months after. He left college to join the 1997 NFL Draft. The Kansas City Chiefs selected Gonzalez as the 13th overall selection. Gonzalez was part of the Chiefs from 1997 to 2008. He was later transferred to the Atlanta Falcons. Beginning in his second year in the NFL and never catching more than 59 passes in an entire season.
