Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on March 10 of 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die maker and former factory worker Joseph William Stone II. Stone has three brothers: Michael, Kelly, and Patrick. Stone was regarded as exceptionally gifted in her academics when she entered the second grades at five. In 1975 Stone graduated from Saegertown high school located in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). Also, Stone competed winning at the Miss Pennsylvania beauty contest. Stone was able to move back to New Jersey with her aunt in 1977, to explore a modeling career. She did so after signing at the Ford Modeling Agency within a month. The next stage was Europe where she spent one year living in Milan, Paris and other cities. Stone however became disillusioned in Europe by the fashion industry, and decided to venture to acting. Stone was a 20-year-old in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories" the film which got mixed praises.
